Data platform company Uzabase and enableX co-hosted a seminar in Korea on the theme "Japan Startup Investment Trends — First Half of 2025." Han Kyung-Wook, Executive Officer of enableX, took the stage on behalf of the firm.
The seminar was designed to deepen the understanding of Japan's startup landscape among Korean VCs, CVCs, PEs, and other investors, and to share information on investment opportunities in Japanese startups.
After the presentation, the Q&A from participants was exceptionally lively — the session ran well beyond its scheduled time, reflecting strong engagement.
What stood out was how participants' interest shifted over the course of the seminar — from "investment in Korean startups" to "investment and acquisition strategies in the Japanese market."
Many questions went beyond simply learning about Japan's investment climate, focusing instead on practical, concrete approaches to entering the Japanese market — clearly demonstrating the depth of participants' interest. This shift in the discussion reflects expectations for mutual understanding between the Japanese and Korean startup ecosystems and for strengthened collaboration.
This seminar is expected to serve as an important step forward in promoting investment and business collaboration between Japan and Korea, acting as a bridge between the two startup ecosystems. enableX will continue to drive Japan–Korea cross-border projects going forward.
